Important Information:
Dear reader, please resist the temptation to skip this. No confusing legal jargon, I promise.
I do not claim to heal people; rather, I support and empower people to initiate their body's own in-built mechanisms to promote self-healing. The primary purpose of a mentor and facilitator is to help you to help yourself. This is an important distinction to consider, as the choice and power to change is yours and yours alone.
I am not a medical health practitioner; rather, I offer clients an emotional, spiritual and energetic perspective to aid them in their self-empowerment. The advice, instruction and information I offer is based on my training as a Psychosomatic Therapist, as well as my impressions and life experiences.
I do not conduct any medical or psychotherapeutic work or diagnoses. No medication or diets will be recommended. For this, I suggest you consult a registered medical practitioner or dietician.
It is the client's responsibility to inform persons performing services / treatment of any medical conditions, sensitivities or allergies or physical limitations prior to the commencement of treatment services; if applicable, please obtain permission from your doctor before scheduling / receiving any services.
A client-facilitator partnership is based on the following attributes: respectfully works in sync with your body; acknowledges how much courage it takes to be vulnerable; views your life situation through non-judgemental eyes; encourages you to speak openly and honestly; invites you to relate to life in a whole new way; acts as a catalyst for growth and expansion.
As a facilitator, I am dedicated to assisting you in letting go of what's holding you back in life. You are supported in a safe atmosphere that allows any suppressed or unacknowledged emotions or challenges to surface, so they can be released. Please be aware that mental and emotional energies in the subconscious may start to surface immediately, or in the weeks following your session. Due to the nature of energy / emotional release bodywork, you may feel a heightened sense of sensitivity or receptivity. This can be indicative of the healing and re-balancing process.
All information discussed and disclosed during a treatment session will be treated as strictly confidential.
During a body reading analysis or emotional release massage, the client may be required to be in either their underclothes or a two-piece swimsuit. This is conducted according to the strictest clinical and ethical standards. (Please inform your facilitator if you have any concerns.)
Emotional release bodywork helps to facilitate your body's natural ability to release stored emotional issues or blocked energy. Innate body release mechanisms may include: yawning, crying, laughing, or spontaneous shaking and body tremors. Alternatively, some people experience no obvious physical sensations or signs of release. I encourage people to trust their body. As a Psychosomatic Therapist, I am accustomed to the nature of emotional release, and will skilfully guide you through the process.
It can be beneficial to have at least 3-6 sessions, especially when trauma or stress has been held within the body for a long period. As you become more familiar with the process, the more easily you will be able to release. I recommend clients book follow-up appointments within 2-4 weeks to maximise potential benefits and results.
